In 2020 we very nearly had to close our doors in the face of a global pandemic. Luckily, we pivoted, reevaluated how we did almost everything, and with help from some very generous donors like you, and an amazing team of dedicated and passionate artists, we were able to come out even stronger than before. 

 

However, as prices and rent continue to rise, we are once again in need of your generosity so that we may continue to produce engaging and thought provoking theatre and provide a safe space for actors of all ages to train, learn, grow, and feel accepted for years to come. 

 

To be transparent with you, our rent is currently over $10,000.00 per month and is about to rise again by 5%. In an effort to avoid having to raise our prices and keep our programming accessible while ensuring that our rent is covered and we have the ability to pay our staff and cast members a fair wage we present our new donor program. In addition to rent and staffing, we are in major need of some long overdue upgrades to our space, lighting, and sound equipment. We want our spaces to not only be a safe workable theater environment, but to also have the ability to bring in some new set pieces and abilities for special effects that we have not been able to afford previously.

 

So, we are relaunching our CLUB 88 donor program as THE PLAYHOUSE ENSEMBLE! As anyone in theatre can tell you, a strong and robust ensemble is essential to a great show.

 

The yearly, tiered, donor program breaks down as: 

  • Backer: $10,000+

  • Benefactor: $5,000-$9,999

  • Patron $1,000-$4,999

  • Sustainer: $300-$999

  • Friend: $50 to $299

Donations can be made as a one time donation or be split up into monthly or quarterly donations.

    • Certificates for free concessions (food) at shows 

    • Certificates for free concessions (soda/water) at shows

    • Meet and Greet and photos with the casts of our professional shows

    • Advance notice of TSP Events and Season Announcements

    • 2 complimentary “bring a friend” tickets

  • Patron - $1,000 - $4,999: 

    • All the benefits of Friend & Sustainer plus:

    • Certificates for free cocktail at shows

    • A “shout out” in the program for any show of your choosing.

    • 2 Opening Night tickets to the show of your choice

    • Panel discussion with the creative team of our professional shows

  • Benefactor - $5,000 - $9,999: 

    • All the benefits of Friend, Sustainer, & Patron plus:

    • Attend a special Champagne toast prior to 2 shows of your choosing.

    • 2 Opening Night tickets to 2 shows of your choice

    • Talk back with the casts of our professional shows

    • 2 tickets to A Very Theatre South Holiday Cabaret

  • Backer - $10,000+: 

    • All the benefits of Friend, Sustainer, Patron, & Benefactor plus:

    • Production Sponsor Credit on show of choice

    • Attend a special “sneak peek” of our musicals during their rehearsals.

    • Season-long Opening Night subscription for two (2)

    • 2 tickets to a Theatre South Playhouse fundraising event.
