TSP is now casting for all types, shapes, and ethnic backgrounds for "THE ADDAMS FAMILY - Young@Part"
TSP is casting 3rd - 6th graders for this professional training production.
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part® is the authorized youth edition of the Broadway musical.
AUDITIONS
Audition time slots will open on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Auditions will be held Wednesday, January 8th 2025
All actors must attend a mandatory dance call at 4:15 PM on Wednesday, January 8th, followed by audition time slots beginning at 5:15pm. Callbacks will be held Saturday, January 11th by invitation.
Actors should prepare a short vocal selection (no more than 32 bars please) in the style of the show. No a capella singing or tracks, please.
All actors need to bring sheet music, properly marked to sing.
* 4th grade actors and up, please have a short monologue prepared if asked.
* Actors are asked to bring sheet music in the proper key, no tracks please.
* If your young actor has never auditioned before and is more comfortable with a meet & greet with the creative team, please schedule a time and let us know.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals start Wednesday, January 15th.
Wednesday afternoons: 4:15-6:15pm
Saturday mornings: 10am-12pm
Tech week: Saturday, May 3rd - Wednesday, May 7th
PERFORMANCES
Thursday, May 8th - Sunday, May 11th
ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part is part of our Pre-Professional Training Program. New this year are various options for your actor.
Choose your track:
Track 1:
Pre-Professional Training Program: ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part In addition to the training received in rehearsal for ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part you receive your choice of two (2) hourly Conservatory Enrichment Classes per week. All classes begin the week of January 7th and run through May 15th. Every class has a final showcase at the end of the semester in May. Class info is below.
Price: $300 per month
(5 hours of rehearsal, plus two hour long training classes per week)
Track 2:
ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part ONLY. This track only includes involvement in the TSP Pre-Professional Training Production of ADDAMS FAMILY Young@Part. No additional Conservatory Enrichment Classes are included. Price: $200 per month
(5 hours of rehearsal and training per week)
Track 3:
TSP Conservatory existing/enrolled students. Please call (407-601-4380) or email (admin@theatresouthplayhouse.org) to enroll as the price point is adjusted to reflect your existing Conservatory Enrichment Classes.
Price: $168 per month
(5 hours of rehearsal/training per week)
*One payment is made at the time of registration and then once per month beginning February 1st through the production in May.

- Acting & Improv - 3:10 - 4 PM, 4:10 - 5 PM
- Broadway Dance - 4:10 - 5 PM
- Adv. Broadway Dance - 3:10 - 4 PM (7th grade and up, 2 years of previous dance classes required and teacher evaluation needed)
Tuesdays:
- Stage Combat - 3:10 - 4 PM, 4:10 - 5 PM
- Acting & the Creative Process - 4:10 - 5 PM (6th grade and up)
Wednesdays:
- Musical Theatre Prep - 2 - 3 PM, 3 - 4 PM
Thursdays:
- Intro to Directing - 4 - 5 PM
*Registration is REQUIRED to hold your audition time slot.
*Theatre South Playhouse does not, under any circumstances, discuss casting decisions and will not accept any emails, phone calls, etc. regarding casting. All casting decisions are final.
